Award Categories
Tourism Ambassador of the Year: Pinnacle Award
Passion, dedication, and a genuine love for Central Newfoundland’s tourism define a true ambassador. This award honors an individual, business, or organization that goes above and beyond to support and promote the region, inspiring others and helping our tourism industry flourish.
Municipalities Tourism Champion of the Year
Communities are the heart of tourism in Central Newfoundland. This award celebrates a municipality that actively promotes the region, develops engaging experiences, and fosters a culture of pride and hospitality that makes visitors feel truly welcome.​

Tourism Experience of the Year

From breathtaking adventures to one-of-a-kind cultural experiences, what we do is what visitors remember. The Tourism Experience of the Year award highlights the most creative, engaging, and memorable experiences that showcase the very best of Central Newfoundland.​​​​​
The Bergy Awards celebrate tourism excellence across Central Newfoundland. Any individuals, businesses, or organizations operating within the central Newfoundland region and meeting Tourism Assurance Plan (TAP) requirements is eligible, whether or not they are members of Adventure Central Newfoundland.

All nominees must accept their nomination and verify the information provided. Self-nominations are welcome, so don’t hesitate to showcase your own achievements!

Nominations are reviewed and selected by an independent Awards Committee, made up of representatives from other Newfoundland and Labrador Destination Management Organizations.
Please note: previous winners are not eligible to be nominated in a category they have already won.
