Extending the Season in Twillingate & Beyond
Fall brings a different kind of energy to Central Newfoundland — vibrant landscapes, cooler days, local flavours, community events, and more time to slow down and explore.
The Twillingate Fall Season Extension Project is bringing tourism operators, community partners, and industry together to explore opportunities to grow fall tourism in Twillingate and the surrounding area.
As part of that work, Adventure Central has developed a growing collection of market-readiness tools and resources. The resources on this page have been developed to support that work in Twillingate, while providing tools and information that can benefit tourism operators throughout Central Newfoundland.

Know Your Fall Visitor
Fall visitors are looking for many of the things Twillingate and Central Newfoundland do best — natural landscapes, hiking and outdoor experiences, local food, culture, history, and opportunities to connect with local people.
They also tend to stay longer than other vacation visitors, with an average stay of 12.2 nights, and nearly half begin planning their trip less than three months before they arrive.
Understanding who travels in fall, and what they're looking for, can help you make informed decisions about your hours, experiences, marketing, and how you position your business for the season.

Optimize your online presence
Before visitors decide where to stay, eat or explore, chances are they’re looking online. Keeping your Google Business Profile and social media channels accurate and up to date makes it easier for visitors to find you, see what you offer, and know when you’re open — especially outside the traditional peak season.
